We're 17 days away from Durango! So naturally, it's time to start packing!

Here's a look at a few of the outdoorsy things I love and plan to take with me.

1. Thule Interstate Rooftop Bag Cargo Carrier - Because we finally got sick of not being able to find anything in the car while traveling. Between the rods, fishing gear, clothes, tent, etc, etc, etc... getting to anything in our baby Subaru was an act of packing and unpacking continuously. This is by far my favorite purchase we've made this year and I can't wait to use this carrier! 

2. Petzel Tikkina Headlamp - This trusty headlamp is sure to come in handy during late night or early morning hikes to far off streams. It's also helpful for midnight runs to the 'potty shed.'

3. Patagonia All Weather Zip-Neck - I purchased this shirt earlier this year for hiking/running, but it's quickly become my favorite fishing shirt, too. It's breathable, utilizes Patagonia's Polygiene, and dries quickly (even here in NC). This should be the perfect shirt for backcountry trips or days out in open water.

4. Salomon Sense Ride - In hopes that I'll be able to spend a day hiking around Moab or Chaco National Forest! 

5. Western Visions Lanyard - This lanyard has become my new favorite fishing accessory! All my tools are super accessible and the bulldog clip at the bottom keeps everything from flopping around into my camera.

6. ENO DoubleNest Hammock -  Since we'll be experiencing Colorado during the middle of the summer rather than early fall, I've decided to take my hammock, just in case it's too warm to sleep in a tent. Or, if I need an afternoon nap under some aspens.

7. Brodin Phantom Trout - Because this is is fishing trip, and I hope to catch a few trouts bigger than my hand.

8. Hardy Sirrus Glass Rod - This glass rod is perfect for backcountry trips! Mine is a 7' 6", four weight and makes catching wild cutthroat super fun! This rod is also great because it deals with Western wind surprisingly well for a glass rod.

9. Notes From the San Juans - There's no better way to gear up for Durango than with a book by Steven J. Meyers!

10. Aret Toura Basewear - The last bra you'll ever need! Seriously! It's the most comfortable, versatile, and you can even swim in it!

11. Hydroflask 22oz Tumbler - I know, I know, I'm talking to a bunch of Yeti folks here, but I'm a Hydroflask girl. This tumbler is perfect for keeping my black coffee ice cold! Which I'm sure I"ll need a lot of during driving days.

12. REI Co-Op Shift Shorts - If it's warm, I'm wearing short pants and these are some of my favorites! They're breathable and dry quickly, which makes them great for hiking or backcountry fishing!

13. Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody - This is not a hoody, this is a jacket from heaven! It's weatherproof, ventilated, and has waffled fleece. I doubt that I'll need it daily in the middle of July and August, but just in case, it's coming along anyway!

14. Nate Karnes Tarpon Patch Hat - This past spring I had the pleasure of meeting Nate Karnes at the Caroline Cane Conclave and had to pick up this hat. I know, there aren't any Tarpon in Durango, but it matches all my clothes and it's a pretty sweet design! Take some time to visit his site and check out some more of his artwork!

15. Chrome Nikon Nikkormat FTN SLR Film Camera - That's right, folks, I'm taking a film camera with me this year! It's been almost 10 years since I've shot film and I can't wait to jump back into.
